Deep inside Peugeot Sport : Inspection and Racing Shop
Machine shop Preparations for a computer numerically controlled machine shop. Peugeot Sport doesn’t produce all of the components for the 908 but possesses the manufacturing capacity to produce components to very tight timescales if necessary.

Telemetry All of the data from the fleet of 908 HDi FAP cars are stored in these computers. The telemetry stations are positioned in the back of the garage during testing or races.
Inspection The conformity of the teeth on a gear is checked using the profile projector. This machine is just part of the inspection facilities available at Peugeot Sport. The goal is to ensure total quality in each batch of parts, and every individual component, required to assemble the 908 HDi FAP.

Design office A chassis designer at work on his CAD station. Every component on the 908 is designed using CAD and the car is assembled for the first time in virtual reality! This model allows the designers to check the fit of the parts and to simulate the relative movement of components, such as suspension travel. This office includes designers for aerodynamics, transmission, suspension, brakes, composites...
Modelmaking A scale model of the 908 (left) is used in the wind tunnel to evaluate aerodynamic developments. Every part of the model is manufactured at Peugeot Sport.
