Rally Principe de Asturias

46th edition of Rally Principe de Asturias

Oviedo (birthplace of Fernando Alonso) hosts the iberian round of IRC 2009.

Located north west of Spain on the atlanticfront, the oceanic climate often gives wet stages. Like last year, the weather will be the surprise guest in some sections where rain and fog are frequent.

Slippery
With narrow and twisty stages resembling those of Rally Sanremo (september, 22-24), some sections are quite slippery and tricky on an asphalt with medium grip. And the first day will be hard for all the drivers with nine stages and more than 160 kilometers.
