Historically, karting and motorsport are intertwined. Sportsmanship, competitiveness, technology, controlled costs and conviviality are common values of the "Rencontres Peugeot Sport" and the "X30 Challenge".
After some discussions between the two entities, the idea of associating the "Rencontres Peugeot Sport" to the karting world through the "X30 Challenge" has quickly become obvious.
The excellent overall season costs of the Rencontres Peugeot Sport's meetings are an ideal gateway to connect karting to motorsport. A gateway for young people who want to take off their flight to closed car categories, and a gateway for the more experienced ones, who seek to have fun whilst progressing. Through 208 Racing Cup (sprint view) or Relais 208 (endurance view), Peugeot Sport now proposes the most accessible Brand Cup in the French motorsport landscape.
The winner of the 2016 IAME International Final (Le Mans track, from October, 12th to 16th) in the X30 Master class will be invited by Peugeot Sport to participate in the first round of the Rencontres Peugeot Sport 2017, in the Relais 208 for a 6 hours race with major figures in the world of karting and motorsport. At the same time, during this prestigious event, part of the FIA official calendar that brings together 400 drivers, Peugeot Sport will offer an information update on the many Promotion Peugeot Sport categories (Circuit and Rally) as well as competition cars will be exposed. Peugeot Sport and the X30 Challenge mains purposes are to train the drivers; in sharing their experience, both entities could prove to be explosive especially as their approach of motorsport converge towards the same goal and might result in the emerging new motorsport talents of the future.
